Delano Certification Standards

Ever wondered what you’re serving to your customers?

Sustainable and ethical coffee is important to us and at Delano we seek the best coffee beans with these characteristics. Our coffees are sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms, with one blend also being 100% Organic. We are also involved in direct trade with our selected coffee estates and make sure we uphold our Fair To Farmers initiative. The following is a little bit about the ethical/sustainable coffee certifications and programs our coffee beans take part in:

Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee

Rainforest Alliance Certification

The Rainforest Alliance seal means that farms look after the tropical forests where they live and work. Wildlife is protected, rivers kept clean and natural resources conserved. Preserving the environment for future generations.

Organic coffee

Certified Organic Coffee

Organic certification means that coffee farmers avoid unnecessary chemicals and pesticides – good news for plant and animal life. Organic certification also means more money to the farmers, over and above the Fairtrade price. Our organic coffee is certified by either NASAA or BFA.

Fair to Farmers Direct Trade program

Fair to Farmers is a program run by Delano which through a direct link to our coffee growing estates makes sure farmers are paid a premium price for their coffee so their costs of production are covered they are enabled to invest in their communities to improve living and working conditions and that the production of this coffee is done in a sustainable manner. For more info click here
