Delano coffee beans are sourced from farmers and co-operatives who are passionate about the quality of their coffee. At Delano we are all about coffee without compromise and believe that ethics play a huge part in this. Therefore we have three different measures that go into our ethical coffees and our Fair to farmers program.

These 3 measures along with sourcing our coffees from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms, some with organic and bird-friendly certifications, are the basis for our Fair To Farmers program. We see it as a full circle approach to ethical coffee and are proud of the lengths we go to make sure we are contributing positively to the society, environment and people of our coffee producing areas.

1. Traceable

As a premium brand with our own roasters it is our job to identify and obtain the highest quality coffees. What this means is that we have built relationships with all the farms and co-operatives who grow the coffees we source, and as such we know exactly where our coffees are coming from so that you can have confidence in the Delano coffee you are consuming.

2. Ethical

Every single one of our coffees carries with it at least one certification, while the majority have more than one of these. The certifications include being sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms and Organic & Bird Friendly Certifications. With all our coffees we always pay the best prices to benefit the farmers and ‘do right’ by them. When you are purchasing Delano coffees you are treating farmers, their families and their surrounding environment with the respect they deserve.

3. Sustainable

In the modern market your customers demand that the coffee they buy and drink is produced with respect to the earths ecosystems. All of our coffees are sourced from coffee farms that carry the Rainforest Alliance Certification Seal. We also source coffee’s that are certified organic or certified bird friendly, all of which which guarantee long term environmental sustainability.

Its these three elements that make Delano coffees an ethical choice in the greater coffee market, and the reason we can proudly note that our coffee is really ‘Fair to Farmers’.
